Film: Jo Dharavi Se

The power of expression through art surpasses all boundaries of age and circumstances. This is the story of Joe, a 15-yr old bright-eyed teenager from Dharavi, Asia's biggest slum. He uses RAP- 'Rhythm and Poetry' to address issues directly connected to his surroundings, such as corruption and women empowerment. This is the part of India that is often overlooked, undermined and shoved away into deep darkness. This is a story of how you wield power through your words when you have none. How you find and build hope where there is no sun.
